Hengtong Group was established in 1991. It is specializing in R&D and manufacture of optical fiber and cable and has involved in real estate, energy, finance, securities and other fields. The company has more than 6000 employee. Hengtong has been awarded “China Top 500 Enterprises”, “National Top 100 National Electronic Information”, “China Top 50 Telecommunication Companies”,  “China Top 500 Information Enterprises”. 

Hengtong Optic-electric Co., Ltd. was established in 1993. It is a high-tech state-level enterprise that specializes in producing various kinds of optical fiber, optical cable and optical component. The company listed in Shanghai Stock Exchange in August 2003 (Stock Code: 600487) and has completed its national business pattern in Shenyang, Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong. It has form a large-scale industry chain of preform-optical fiber-optical cable. Its annual production capacity is 12,000 km power cable and 11 million pairs km communication special cable. It has become the main cable supplier in the world.

The company has firstly passed the ISO9001 Quality System, ISO14001 Environmental Management System, HOSAS18001 Professional Health and Safety Management System, National Measurement System, U.S. UL Safety Certification. The communication cable meets European ROSH requirements. The company has been awarded “China Famous Brand”, “China Famous-brand Product”, and “National Inspection Exempted Product Enterprise”. The products are used in mobile, telecommunication, Unicom, electricity, radio and television, railway, highway, general staff, and other special communication network. Hengtong Optic-electric Co., Ltd. was awarded one of the “10 Gold Companies” in China optical fiber and cable industry with 18% national market share and ranking second in the country. The company always puts emphasis on R & D and has established postdoctoral workstation, academicians’ workstation, state-level enterprise technical center, Jiangsu optical cable transmission research center and other research platforms. The company has a strong research team. There are 3 people enjoying the benefits of the State Council, 10 doctors, 56 Masters and 145 undergraduates in the team. The company has undertaken dozens of National Torch Projects, Bond-financed Projects, Natural Science Fund Projects, Hi-tech Industrialization Projects. We developed technological equipments to realize that core equipments are home-made. We successfully applied for 211 patents.

Technology for semi-tight buffer fiber optical cable Self-developed, is the leading domestic technology, has required state patents. Benefits: Solve the larger diameter problem of indoor or drop optical cable; resolves the branch problems in terms of fiber-to-building, fiber to the curb, and fiber-to-community; effectively solves the problems of poor temperature and optical performance for tight buffer fiber optical cable.
