Business Model:

Build and market autonomous desal units - powered by renewables

Product/Services Overview (what does it do):

Technology

What makes the technology/business unique and have a defendable competitive advantage?:

6 patents have been applied for

Describe in detail the technology used in the Project - Address the innovation in significant detail :

The wind turbine is self starting and self governing - & made of carbon fibre has been designed with a fatigue life > 20 years. The transmission will accept power from either the wind or the water turbine. The electric starter becomes an alternator at the design speed - automatically, to power the electric heaters in the sump. The polypropylene condenser is proof against these temperatures and will be cost effective for us to make.

What, if anything, has been proven (and how far is this from a commercial scale)? :

The turbine is established art, the still prototype has been made.

What challenges/risk does the technology face for commercialization?:

Making the still leakproof in production will be a challenge. Manufacturing the rotors to the requires strength will need good quality assurance.

Patent Numbers (Filed/Approved):

6 patents applied for - there will probably be more
