OnGreen, the online clearinghouse for green tech, is looking for a Director of Marketing and Business Development who can help the company reach our aggressive growth goals.
OnGreen connects green start-ups with money. Entrepreneurs post their business plans on OnGreen, receive feedback and ratings from experts in our community and network with investors and other green industry professionals. In a recent survey, half of the start-ups who posted on the site were contacted by potential investors as a result. Plans are to add additional ways to drive money to the most promising green ideas from around the world, helping them become thriving businesses.
The Director of Sales & Marketing will report to the VP of Business Development/Marketing of OnGreen, which is based in West Los Angeles and is venture backed.
Responsibilities include:
- Partnerships in the digital and green sectors that contribute to traffic, content growth and revenue.
- Paid marketing.
- Event management -- both OG-hosted events and those we attend.
- Sales of advertising and other products and services developed by the company.
- Represent the company at industry events.
- Building a own team
The ideal candidate has the following experience and qualifications:
- Increasing traffic and sales for an online business.
- Working with small budgets and growing them into large ones based on ROI and company expansion.
- Deep relationships in the green category, preferably public, private and academic.
- Effective international expansion.
- Success in helping raise funds and achieving successful exits for past employers.
- Excellent communication skills, including public speaking.
- Strong analytic skills to validate strong instincts.
- Humility and sense of humor.
- Infectious energy and enthusiasm.
- A passion for helping build the green economy one deal at a time.
