OnGreen.com, the global clearinghouse for clean tech investment, is looking for a part-time or contract Designer.
OnGreen is a new B2B social media site where green entrepreneurs network to raise capital and bring their products to market. The site has tripled traffic since relaunching in July, purely on the strength of SEO, word-of-mouth and social marketing. More than 240 green start-ups have posted their business plans on OnGreen, with a third coming from outside the United States. In a recent survey, more than half of those entrepreneurs said they were contacted by potential investors as a result of posting on OnGreen. We're hoping to build on this initial success with an improved UI and a steady stream of new features.
The Designer will have the following responsibilities:
- Helping set the overall look & feel of OnGreen.
- Designing layout and graphical elements for our pages.
- Providing graphical support for presentations and collateral needed by sales, business development and capital raising.
- Building the OnGreen Style Guide.
- Helping establish and document strong design process.
Candidates should have the following experience and attributes:
- Collaborating closely with business and technical people, some of whom will be remotely located.
- Working in a rapid-release production environment, like the agile-scrum method.
- Working in a crazy start-up environment.
- Strong mix of creative inspiration and practical utility.
- Crystal clear communication skills.
- Facility with reporting and analytics tools to help inform design.
- Humility and a sense of humor.
- An extensive collection of Star Wars action figures.
- Local candidates preferred. No relocation offered.
We have a strong preference for someone who can work out of our West L.A. office. However, we will consider non-L.A. candidates if they have superstar credentials, glowing references and demonstrable past success working remotely.
