We are seeking a highly organized and creative person to lead our growing, high-energy marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience leading a small high-output marketing team. The director will report to the VP of Marketing & Business Development and oversee the day-to-day planning and execution of the company’s branding, segmentation, messaging and promotion campaigns, including:

We are seeking a highly organized and creative person to lead our growing, high-energy marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience leading a small high-output marketing team. The director will report to the VP of Marketing & Business Development and oversee the day-to-day planning and execution of the company’s branding, segmentation, messaging and promotion campaigns, including:
- design and execute strategic and creative events/programs that drive traffic, sales and awareness of new and existing users
- create interactive social media campaigns surrounding industry events and seasonal product launches
- measure engagement and effectiveness of campaigns with tools such as Google Analytics, Mailchimp reporting and Facebook Insights
- work directly with PR team to ensure a cohesive message/company voice
- increase OnGreen’s visibility in the community via partnerships programs and collaborations
- possess ability to manage multiple high level marketing projects simultaneously while handling ad hoc requests from upper management
- supervise the growing marketing team in order to create innovative, tailored and strategic programs for driving increased brand awareness
Must think big, have a fantastic creative flair and have a strong desire to understand technology, the geeks who develop it, the business professionals who help them turn their ideas into businesses and the investors who help make it real. Most importantly, s/he must have an energy and passion for creating things where they didn't exist before.
Experience:
- 2 yrs at director level or 5 years at mgr level with demonstrated success at translating business objectives into brand, segmentation, messaging and promotion strategies.
- Demonstrated success at the design & implementation of annual marketing plans at a successful cleantech, hi-tech or internet business.
- We get our hands dirty, so skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, Drupal, Wordpress, Mail Chimp, Google Analytics, AdWords and other tools are highly valued.
- Experience in SEO & Social Media a big plus.
- International experience another big plus -- particularly brand transmogrification for use in non-U.S. markets.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Entrepreneurial, self-starter with a hands-on approach
- Ability to work well under pressure and with shifting priorities; ability to meet deadlines
- Quick, responsive, judicious, and an independent thinker
- BS/BA in Marketing or related field.
- We’re global, so multilingual is a plus
- Must be full-time and work in our LA office. No relocation offered.

- August 2011: Led 19 U.S., Canadian and European entrepreneurs on China Capital Roadshow, matching them with 60+ potential investors and partners in Shanghai, Nanjing and Suzhou. 1 partner MOU so far, 4-5 pending.
- May: OnGreen start-ups met in 1:1 matching sessions with investors from Jiangsu province and Hong Kong in Boston and Los Angeles.
- April: several OnGreen start-ups pitched a delegation of investors from the Zhejiang province at UCLA’s Office of Intellectual Property.
- March: investors from Jiangsu province viewed demos by start-ups at OnGreen’s launch party at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood.
