About This Opportunity:
GreenVolts is looking for a NPI Engineering – CPV Tracker to join our growing team of world-class engineers and technology professionals. In this position, you will use experience, scientific methodologies, and engineering skills to implement the New Product Introduction plan for OptoElectronic High Concentration PhotoVoltaic (HCPV) systems, with emphasis on Two-Axis Trackers.
This position reports directly to the Director of Operations Engineering.
Some of the things you will do:
Lead the understanding and resolution of quality, reliability, and warranty issues with manufacturing partners.
Work with the Tracker Engineering team to establish production specifications for HCPV Tracking Systems.
Team member of the vendor audit team, responsible for audit of current and potential manufacturing partners with respect to tracking systems.
Work with development and manufacturing partners to validate their test plans and best practices, and establish specific capabilities with them to ensure production to GV specifications.
Lead and conduct Qualification and Acceptance tests on manufacturing partners’ process and procedures.
Facilitate the implementation and continuous improvement of lean production system methods with manufacturing partners to help develop capable, effective, reliable processes.
Work as an individual contributor to architect, write, and execute individual portions of the overall audit plan.
Design, fabricate, and deploy complex test hardware/software systems in support of product validation.
Complete other engineering tasks as assigned
Some of things we believe the ideal person will have:
BS/EE or BS/ME or a minimum of 5 years of relevant quality engineering experience in high volume manufacturing.
A high level of motivation and ability to drive clean, efficient, and maintainable test systems in support of high volume manufacturing.
Mechanical and structural materials experience, able to work with materials properties and suitability for usage studies.
Understanding of reliability modeling and analysis.
Senior-level understanding of Gauge R&R, FA, and ORT.
Experience with systems containing large metallic structures and how they react in differing soil and wind conditions
Experience with assembly of multi-component systems requiring precision alignments in a structurally robust architecture.
Experience with the implementation of Lean Thinking (TPS) methodologies
