About This Opportunity:
GreenVolts is developing the next generation High Concentration Photovoltaic (HCPV) based powering systems and is looking for a self-motivated, experienced power electronics engineer to contribute and lead hardware and firmware product development projects. You will also be required to participate in multi-disciplinary team collaboration and engage in strategic partnerships with key suppliers and industry experts.
Some of the things you will do:
Hands-on involvement at a senior engineer level with implementing proof-of-concept designs, prototypes into fully functional inverter hardware;
Contribute at an individual level to the development, qualification, and high-volume manufacturing of power circuitry components for power conversion;
Lead design and fabrication efforts for custom designed components for power conversion hardware;
Capable of architecting power hardware implementation adapted for advanced digital controls;
Conduct simulations, contribute and guide development of advanced hardware designs;
Analyze design and development options to optimally meet overall system integration requirements and cost objectives;
Some of things we believe the ideal person will have:
BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering
10-15 years of hands-on experience with high voltage IGBTs, circuit design (isolation, protection, drivers, special considerations to high voltage switching circuits) and packaging into systems.
Successfully demonstrated taking a power conversion product from design to high volume manufacturing;
Strong fundamental understanding and circuit design of switching devices – IGBTS, MOSFETs, SiC devices;
Strong analytical and practicing skills in analog circuit design;
Sufficient hands-on experience with designing various kinds of DC/AC conversion circuits;
Design and fabrication experience with on-board power supplies, driver and protection circuits;
Extensive circuit analysis with PSpice, PSim and/or Matlab required;
Knowledge of magnetic component design desirable;
