TEXAS - Australia Global Trading said that Quantum-ionics, Inc have this Thursday welcomed the addition of CLLEEN™ Water and Power to their water treatment arsenal in the quest to successfully handle ANY form of wastewater in a cost effective and efficient manner.

The duo will provide a combination of the ElectroCoagulation and the new revolutionary Multi-Flash-Distillation technology that can handle difficult effluent with the most environmentally effective method as never seen before.

Quantum-ionics, Inc. is combining its advanced ElectroCoagulation units along with the new cutting-edge CLLEEN™ MFD (Multi-Flash-Distillation) technology to create yet another VIA™ (Vertical Ionic Acceleration) system designed to handle the most difficult waste water situations in a cost-effective and an ecological manner.

Jan Pagonis, CEO of Australia Global Trading outlined that "with the Quantum-ionics, Inc. collaboration with the CLLEEN™ Water and Power system, we are in a position to provide a combination of the EC and this new innovative MFD technology. This allows the team to be able to handle waters with high TSS, and High TDS including high TDS Frac waters, produced waters, Acid Mine Waters, Food Processing, and many more applications including oily waste waters and contaminated muddy brackish marsh waters into potable waters. The system is also capable of harvesting valuable fats and proteins, breaking the oil/water (rag-layer) bonds common to produced waters and then recapturing the freed oils."

Chris Davis President of Quantum-ionics, Inc. explained that "although our companies use different processes, we are like minded and want to achieve the same end with responsible energy consumption to produce clean water. The system is extremely efficient with our ElectroCoagulation system sitting in the front of the treatment train preceded only by standard screening and pH adjustment if necessary. The CLLEEN™ MFD system then follows, acting in a duel capacity. Firstly as a secondary separation for the EC and second as a removal system for short carbon chain contaminants and solubles such as sodium chloride. The result is boiler quality distilled water and a sludge that is made up of 30% solids. In many cases the sludge could classify as "Class A" sludge and become fertilizer."

CLLEEN™ TECHNICAL DETAILS

The CLLEEN™ units are wholly self-contained units. They contain multiple Multi-Stage Flash (MSF) distillation chambers that can each produce 25 gallons per minute. The unit is designed to treat water at an ambient temperature of 77degF or higher, but has an air heater to compensate for cooler seasonal temperatures.

This breakthrough in MSF only uses 5.18 kWh/m3 of electrical energy to produce pure water. No mechanical or thermal energy is required to flash the water in this process.

However, mentioning an energy consumption of only 5.18 kWh/m3 is merely to impress upon the worldwide water community that this is, in fact, a breakthrough in MSF. The reason is that CLLEEN™ has taken it a huge step further by actually supply its own power source for the entire unit. There is no use of any grid electricity, gas fuel or liquid fuel for the unit operation.

The battery uses a rechargeable DC voltage source, boost inverted to provide 460V/60Hz/3phase AC power to the CLLEEN™ unit. The unit houses a spare DC battery and charger so that when the source battery is depleted, the PLC puts the spare into service and the first battery begins recharging.

The CLLEEN™ unit is designed and constructed to withstand the harshest of environmental conditions. The unit externals are constructed of 316 stainless steel. The heat exchangers are spec’d to a maximum of 200degF (93.3degC) and the pure water condensate will be 100gegF (37.78degC).

The chamber internals operate at below atmospheric pressure between 157-195degF (69.44-90.56degC).

The CLLEEN™ process produces a concentrated brine (if sodium chloride is being removed) of between 70-85% feedwater conversion depending upon the client’s needs and permits which will require discharge via CLLEEN’s™ brine pump.

The CLLEEN™unit controls monitor pump flow rates, temperatures and pressures, chamber internal temperatures and air flow rates. There is also a control panel mounted on the unit for on-site operation and maintenance as well as alarms. CLLEEN™ itself also monitors (and can control) the system remotely via its own Virtual Private Network (VPN). CLLEEN™ receives remotely the same data and alarms that are received at the unit, in real time.

With increasing world focus on dwindling freshwater supplies, this breakthrough in being able to renew, recycle, reuse any water is crucial to support our life and development on our planet. "We are thrilled to be a part of the Quantum-ionics VIA™ system, the world leader in ElectroCoagulation effluent treatment systems, to help them better serve their clients worldwide. The diversity within this partnership allows us to now treat the entire spectrum of wastewaters, and return them cleaner than ever before. Whether for industrial recycle and reuse, or for a cleaner, safer return to the environment, the benefits are not only for the bottom line of our industrial clients, but also the communities in which we live, and the environment at large." said Anthony Migyanka, Founder of CLLEEN™ Water and Power.
