FAQ

What does this Roadshow cost?

There is no cost to apply or pitch to investors, but companies will need to cover their travel, hotel, and meal expenses. If we confirm sponsors for the event, some expenses may be offset.

So where are you taking us in China?

The greater Shanghai area. For more information, visit the official China Capital Roadshow site.

Why China?

We have a growing network of investors there who are using OnGreen to find portfolio or strategic investments. In a study released on March 29 by the Pew Environment Group, China is now the world leader in clean energy investing with $54 billion in 2010 investments. China is projected to spend hundreds of billions of dollars on clean technology in coming years, the Chinese government has made cleantech innovation a national priority, and many Chinese investors can also help provide access to the Chinese market.

How is OnGreen deciding which companies to include in the Roadshow and the China Deal Book?

The key factors are the completeness of your deal posting, your deal’s popularity among OnGreen users, the viability of your business model and your fit with the Chinese investors’ needs.

How do I make my deal posting complete and compelling?

Address all of the questions in the Post a Deal form with detailed but concise answers. While we may reach out to you for more information and materials, the more you post the more we have to go on. If there’s confidential information you do not want to make public, leave that portion out, but let us know there’s more when you email ChinaRoadShow [at] ongreen.com

When will I hear whether I am selected or not?

We will notify you within a week of your submission, although we may request additional documents and a call before then.

If I do not get selected for the Los Angeles or China trip, did I just waste my time?

No. Your deal is still active in our Deal Marketplace, where more than half of the companies are contacted by prospective investors, according to our last 2 surveys. You’ll also be eligible for other OnGreen events, including OnGreen Accelerate, taking place in Spring 2012.
