Notes from Day 1 of OnGreen Roadshow II in Beijing at China Technology Exchange

The first day of the OnGreen Venture Roadshow: Gateway to China opened at CTEX (China Technology Exchange: www.ctex.cn - an agency of China's Ministry of Science and Technology) in Beijing with remarks from Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who mentioned that the US and China should collaborate and use platforms like OnGreen to speed the commercialization of clean technologies.

 

Some of the companies in Roadshow II include:

-- Cogent Energy

-- Solarmer

-- Eutricity

There were over 130 participants in the audence eager to meet with the companies as part of the matchmaking. Some of the companies represented were:

-- CLSA Capital Partners

-- Green Pine Capital

-- US Commercial Service

-- China New Energy Chamber of Commerce

-- Climate Change Capital

-- DELI New Energy-- JP Investment Advisors

-- Trina Solar

-- China Business Angels Association

-- Century Love Investment Group

Members of the City of Los Angeles delegation included Deputy Mayor Matt Karatz and Former US Trade Rep, Mickey Kantor, CEO of http://www.Toptenwholesale.com and http://www.Manufacturer.com , Jason Prescott, Managing Partner of MJF International, Miguel Figueroa, and U.S. Commissioner General of Section of the United States Exhibition to World Expo Shanghai 2010, Jose Villarreal.

The companies were introduced to several potential partners at the Roadshow which is a way to investments into their companies and establishing joint ventures in China.

The roadshow now heads to the city of Chongqing, which is the largest city in China with a municipal population of over 32 Million people.
