With the signing of the new JOBS (Jumpstart Our Business Startups) Act, President Obama has opened up new doors to investment in startup companies across the United States. With a route towards the mouthwatering possibilities of online crowdfunding laid out in the act, the next 270 days as the SEC reviews the act will be exciting indeed, and we at OnGreen are taking a long look at the new opportunities the bill presents. By easing some of the regulations on companies looking to raise funding, the act also helps bridge the "Valley of Death" that faces many growing companies. As the majority of new jobs in America have come from startups, a bill that gives emerging companies more access to capital will, we hope, drive the creation of more jobs nationwide. OnGreeners would be wise to make their company pages as robust as possible as newer kinds of investors begin to look into cleantech.
