Dear Fellowmen & women,

“There is a light at the end of tunnel and certainly, it’s not an oncoming Copenhagen train”. Is not the hour; is not the wisdom to visualize the post-Copenhagen analysis”?

Politics & Science make uncomfortable bedfellows. Political orthodoxies must not silence scientific arguments. What is truth? “Everyone that is of the truth heareth my voice.” It sounds suspiciously like the modern argument over climate change. There are no certainties in sciences. Let the sceptics should not be silenced. My creeping realization is that climate negotiations aren’t really negotiations between nations at all. Climate change is not a bargain between United States & China; nor the European Union & India. Rather humanity is negotiating with Mother Nature. And mother appears in no mood to compromise. The aftermath of Copenhagen will affect the international image of the world’s nation & their ability to project “soft power”.

With an anticipation,

Regards,

Vijay Y
