Very interesting report by PricewaterhouseCoopers as part of their Shake the MoneyTree report for Venture Capital investments in the Industrial/Energy industry in Q3 2009. As per the report, total of $864 Million in venture capital was invested across 52 deals at an average of just over $16 Million per deal. This is a significant drop from the same period in 2008 when $1,264 Million was invested across 105 deals.

Great article, John. I wanted to attended the Shake the Money tree event hosted by PWC and LAVA earlier this month but missed somehow. Looking forward to attending the next one.

Is there any indication as to what the spendign levels will be in 2010 and beyond? Any good place to find such reports?
