Technical and cost information on small-scale, low-voltage power distribution infrastructure

I'm developing a rough financial model for small scale renewable power generation and distribution in rural (off-grid) areas of developing countries. Does anyone know of a good source of technical information that would help me identify what equipment / gauge of wiring is required and then help me cost the infrastructure requirements?
