After spending almost 10 years developing proprietary, patented electric drives for bikes, trikes and cars with 3rd Millennium Energy, Britt has formed a joint venture company to design, build and sell light electric vehicles called Santa Monica Electric Vehicles. SMEV's first product, a recumbent electric trike, has started production.
Since 2000, Britt has supervised projects including an electric ATV and light electric car for ZAP, a gas-electric hybrid scooter for Whizzer Motorbikes and electric, heavy-duty cargo trikes and light-duty trucks for Good Earth Electric Vehicles. He has traveled extensively in China and Thailand establishing strong relationships with manufacturers and distributors.
Prior to forming 3rd Millennium, in 1993, Britt and Bruce Austin formed BAP Interactive to produce interactive media for games and corporate applications. As Vice President, Britt oversaw sucessful games for Electronic Arts, Sega and MPCA Interactive. He was responsible for everything from team management to creative development of content. In addition to the gaming side, Britt also managed promotional and training projects for Colgate, Old Navy and Taco Bell. In 2000, New Visual Entertainment approached Britt and Bruce to buy out BAP Interactive. Britt took the opportunity to devote his full attention to clean transportation alternatives.
Prior to 1993, Britt worked for the CFO of Gallin Morey Personal Management handling the accounts of clients such as Dolly Parton and Neil Diamond before moving on to Gibraltar Entertainment. As Associate Producer on several television shows, Britt was responsible for coordinating logistics and financing between the production team in Africa, the creative team in the United States and the corporate partners in Europe.
