As a results-oriented practitioner, I have a proven record of leading strategic organizational improvement and change, and creating value in highly competitive markets. For 30 years, my principal focus has been to assist organizations to proactively maximize the value of their investments through a sustainability "lens". My goal is to assist client to improve environmental performance, leverage regulatory compliance risks, implement creative thinking, realize organizational accountability, and achieve profitable growth. Key international clients have included Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, Shell Chemical, Phelps-Dodge, Elan Pharmaceuticals as well as a diverse mix of clients in the renewable energy, mining, aerospace, forest products, transportation, public works, transportation, financial, legal and government sectors.

Diverse, proven expertise in business strategy, environmental sustainability, and performance metrics has led many organizations to realize “triple bottom line” results that are credible, relevant and realistic, with realized capital savings and resource efficiencies.

I am accomplished in public and private sector ISO 14001 and USEPA compliance-focused Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and OHSAS 18001-based health and safety systems, strategic policy development on climate change, energy efficiency, multi-media compliance and permitting, and advanced planning and best practices implementation. I am proud to have assisted private and public sector clients in attaining over thirty (30) successful ISO 14001 registrations in the U.S. and Mexico, including sector "firsts" in mining, solid waste landfill, and wastewater treatment.

Co-founder of the Southern California Public Sector EMS Practitioners Forum, and one of several originators of the San Diego Regional Sustainability Partnership. I have also held adjunct teaching positions at the University of California-San Diego in the areas of environmental sustainability and business management and the "green supply chain".
